Clearance and planting of a wild flower meadow - Sutton Bonington, Loughborough
A residential customer wanted to turn an ½ acre plot which was over grow with grass, thistles and weeds in to a wild flower meadow.

Initial work involved cutting back the grass and weeds using a flail mower. The second stage was then to plough the plot, turning over the soil ready for sowing.
The third and final stage, was sowing of the wild flower seed mixed with wild grass seed.
The customer was very happy with the results a few months later, come the summer with a large variety of wild flowers including poppies and corn flowers, and even a few sunflowers thrown in (I think these were planted by the local squirrel).
